MyNIISe starts October 15 at Johor border bike lanes

Motorcycle lanes at Johor’s two border crossings will see implementation of the new National Integrated Immigration System (MyNIISe) application. Beginning October 15, the QR code based system is installed at the Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) in Johor Bharu and the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex (KSAB) in Gelang Patah, Iskandar Puteri.

This is to facilitate immigration processing for motorcyclists travelling between Singapore and Johor. “A total of seven exit lanes at BSI, namely B1–B7, are specifically provided for motorcycle users using the MyNIISe application,” said Johor Public Works, Transport and Infrastructure and Communications Committee chairman Mohamad Fazli Mohamad Salleh.

“At KSAB, there will be eight motorcycle lanes involving four entry lanes (B21–B24) which are equipped with a MyNIISe QR code scanning system,” said Fazli in a statement. Motorcyclists will soon enjoy easier immigration entry with two options for the same functional system, namely MyNIISe and MyBoarderPass, Fazli added, asking motorcyclists using the Causeway and Second Link to download and register for the MyNIISe app on their smartphones.

Previously available only for passenger vehicles at the Johor border crossings, the MyNIISe had its trial launch on September 23, since then seeing widespread use. MyNIISe app is also available at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (Terminals 1 and 2), Penang International Airport, Kuching International Airport and Kota Kinabalu International Airport where travellers from 63 countries may enter Malaysia using the QR code, while citizens of 71 countries can use it for departure.
