Overview
The Dongfeng 007 is a C-segment, five-seat electric sedan for buyers who want a long-range RWD option or a far more powerful AWD alternative. It is the Mk1 generation, launched in 2026, with a 73.48 kWh battery across both variants. Prices start from RM169,888.
The Mk1 Dongfeng 007 is new for 2026 and carries on unchanged after its Malaysian launch. The current line-up remains two 73.48 kWh, five-seat electric sedans: the Long Range RWD Premium with 530 km of range and the AWD Prime with 463 km. The latest 2026 development is the opening of Dongfeng by Carro’s PJ Midtown showroom, where the 007 is available to view.

Which variant to buy
Most buyers should choose the Long Range RWD Premium at RM169,888. Its 530 km range is 67 km higher than the AWD’s, and 268 hp is still substantial for a C-segment EV sedan. The AWD Prime costs RM195,888, so the RM26,000 gap buys 536 hp and all-wheel drive, but brings a 463 km range figure. Pay more only if the much stronger performance is the priority.

The 007 is not the cheap route into an electric sedan. Its entry price is RM88 above the GWM Ora 07 and RM22,288 above the Tesla Model 3, while the BYD Seal starts RM1,912 higher. The RWD’s 530 km figure gives it the stronger range claim, while the AWD supplies 536 hp. Equipment specification and driving assessment will decide how well it justifies its position.
