Overview

The Leapmotor C10 is a five-seat D-segment electric SUV for families who place cabin room and day-to-day practicality ahead of chasing the lowest entry price. Launched in 2024, it starts from RM129,000 and comes with rear-wheel drive, a single-ratio automatic transmission and a choice of battery sizes.

For 2026, the Malaysian C10 is locally assembled in Gurun, carrying the same specifications as the earlier fully imported version. A new colour joins the line-up, and the locally assembled model is quoted with 424 km of WLTP range. The RWD and Plus remain the current choices. New and existing owners can also opt for a physical key fob. A facelift has been revealed in China with a revised front end and interior.

Which variant to buy

Most buyers should choose the RM129,000 RWD. Its 69.9 kWh battery, 420 km range and 215 hp cover the core brief, while retaining rear-wheel drive and five seats. Pay the RM10,000 more for the RM139,000 Plus if longer trips matter: its 81.9 kWh battery raises range to 510 km and output to 295 hp. Both use a single-ratio automatic transmission.

Verdict

The C10 makes its case with size, space and practicality for family use. Its entry price is higher than the BYD Atto 3 at RM125,800, the Neta X at RM119,900 and the Seres 3 at RM95,000; it is lower than the iCaur V23 at RM132,780. Choose it for its room, not because it is the cheapest electric SUV.
