The new Skoda Superb will be unveiled at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, but here are some details released before the event. The new Superb will have a new feature called the Twindoor, which is basically both a sedan and a hatchback’s boot-opening mechanism both rolled into one. Twindoor allows the boot lid to be opened like a sedan – only the bootlid swings open, or like a hatchback where the rear window also tilts open together for full access to the 565 litre luggage space.
Six engine options will be available, divided equally into petrol or diesel powered options. The baseline engines will be the 122 horsepower 1.4 litre TSI engine and the 158 horsepower 1.8 litre TSI engine, while the top of the range petrol engine will be the 3.6 litre FSI V6 putting out a healthy 256 horsepower.
Oil burner options include a 1.9 TDI PD DPF with 103 horsepower, a 2.0 TDI PD DPF engine with 138 horsepower, and finally a new 2.0 TDI CR DPF which features common rail injection, producing 168 horsepower.

It takes a very brave company to come up with a name like Superb.
What’s the point of having the rear window swing open together with the boot lid for a sedan? The boot lid opening should be large enough for most things you’d likely put in the boot. You don’t want to carry a washing machine with your err, Superb do you?
Front is nice but at the back look weird…this car base in what platform?
Looks much nicer than the previous Skoda Superb.
Skoda Taiwan is terminating the import by end of 2007.
Not sure Skoda Malaysia will do the same ? Hardly I see they sell much here.
Nice boot mechanism. That adds a lot of versatility and turn a sedan into a hatchback capable vehicle. Useful when putting bulky items that requires a bigger opening.
This reminds me of a Land Rover which can allow you to open the tail gate or the whole thing as a piece.
looks like a volvo
Superb boring
ok, frankly speaking, I don’t know much about Skoda, but their vehicles are quite nice and looks luxury……
I think it looks much better than their owner VW design
Wahlaueh freeaking beautiful man, way much better looking than its predecessor(already a good looking car).
that 1.9 TDi with 103bhp is getting a bit old…..looks like the hand-me down from VW…..
It has Chris Bangle’s design concept, abeit the bootlid.
