Naza Kia Malaysia is set to host a total of four Kia test drive events over the next six months, with the first leg taking place later this month in the Klang Valley. What’s interesting about this one is that customers who participate in the test drive or make a booking at the roadshow will be in the running to win a Forte 1.6 EX.
The Test Drive Kia On Tour 2011, as it’s called, will kick off with a five-day roadshow at the One Utama Shopping Centre from May 11-15. Besides the Forte 1.6 SX and Rondo, you’ll be able to test drive the all-new Sorento at the event, which runs from 11am to 9pm daily at the level LG Oval.
The leg at One Utama will also include mystery gifts for customers who participate in the test drive or sign up to be a Kia Malaysia fan on Facebook at the venue.
There’s a bit of a break before the roadshow resumes in Penang, at the Queensbay Mall on Aug 17–21, followed by Johor Bahru at the Jusco Tebrau on Oct 4-9 before ending at The Curve in Mutiara Damansara on Oct 12–16. The lucky winner of the Forte 1.6 EX will be announced following the completion of the Test Drive Kia On Tour 2011 in October.

changed gearbox, how good is the fuel consumption?
If we win the EX, can we add some cash to get the SX..?
ow demmit! i already missed the Fiesta test drive competition, and now this??? Really wish to be home in Malaysia for that. Already eyeing on both cars… sokayh..
just wanna ask. do they actually charge you or anything if you want to do a test drive? just asking.never go to any test drive.
free! :D
no, its free…..
owh really…well, gotta give it a shot then.
i just love this forte..
Sign of slow sales. :-)
not necessary slow sales lar, come on…just to promote brand, it is a good move…everytime u see toyota also do roadshow does that mean bad sales? sales so good also need to do roadshow to promote a brand!
Don’t bullshit here. Any brand would do the same thing to increase awareness, even Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Chery too do roadshows to bring people who are shy to walk alone to see a car in a quiet showroom. Hence, this strategy brings people who are car-shy to appreciate a car together with other car buyers.
Dare to fight facts, Jap-obsessed wannabe?
Let Talk Fact
Base on MAA figure
Naza/Kia is the only Non National Brand among the Top 20 show drop in sales for 1st quater 2011 compare with the same period of 2010.
Forte (Naza best seller) sales are stagnant at about 434 unit/month since 2010, infact base on average monthly sales there is sign of drop for 1st quater 2011 (424 unit/month).
Base on Forte price range of 80-95K, Rival such as Vios (2,428 unit/mth), City (1,640 unit/mth) Inspira (1,142 units/mth) Despite bigger in size & better equiped Forte only managed (424 unit/mth).
Even the much expensive Civic (780 unit/mth) & Altis (494 unit/mth) out performed Forte.

Dear Jolo the keyboard warrior
Almost every single Paultan’s post regarding about Korean cars, be it a Kia or Hyundai, for sure, I will be seeing some bashing on the sales figure or on the car quality and spec by you. Are you actually a Honda or Toyota salesman? Or do you have someone or you yourself hit by a Korean car before that left you such a scar that you need to bash the Korean on every single time you see the opportunity. You also tend to get emotional during the discussion and in fact into the extend of pointing finger at Paultan for being a Korean car advertiser here whenever they feature a review or new on the Korean. My conclusion is, get a life, why bother bashing other brand when you are confident that the brand you like is a cut above the rest.? People can test drive and decide if they want to buy the car or not.
Recalcitrant fanboy. Yes, it is true that the Civic is still the best seller in its class, and it’s still a very good car. However, the bar has been raised by its other competitors, Nissan, Mazda, Hyundai, Peugeot, even Toyota with the improved Dual VVT-i engines.
Trying to say i’m bullshitting, you dic*head? The reason why the Forte doesn’t sell in spades as compared to the Civic, Altis, as well as Vios is because if a few things:-
1-Consumer preference. If they like it, they’ll buy it. Nobody’s putting a freaking gun to your head asking you to buy it. Like in Malaysia, many people buy Toyota for their own reasons. Same goes to Kia, Hyundai, Nissan, Mazda. No difference, no harm, just that all are looking for a share of the market.
2-Smaller dealer networks. Please bear in mine that the number of Kia dealers are half, or even less of what Toyota has. Smaller dealer networks means lesser sales, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. Remember, there is always room for expansion.
3-Merits and demerits. All cars have flaws. So it is a reason why people pick a car more often than its competitors. I mean, it’s consumers rights, although we do encourage, not force people to buy into brands.
With this, i can safely say that car lovers, who do their math before buying their rides, would be strongly backing me up, and you, as a douchebag who only knows how to spread lies, deceit and BULLSHIT will continue getting bashed like a pulp with your fudged up postings.
Come on, fight my facts, with proper facts. Get a life and start appreciating and criticizing all brands, not just worshipping the Japs. Goodness.
I hope you will kill by Korean gangster
Yes, well said there. Many customers are either shy or a certain fear gets into them at showrooms. Either the salesmen are too pushy or they are just plain shy or just dont know how to go about buying a car, or even to test drive one.
What KIA is doing is right and seems this is not the first time they doing this. Instead of waiting for customers to walk-in to showrooms, KIA Malaysia rather take the initiative to reach out to customers.
No one loses here. Everyone gains.
