The three-episode Discovery Channel adventure series Shell Helix Driven to Extremes will be aired in Malaysia at 8.00 pm over three consecutive Wednesdays on March 13, 20 and 27. We share with you here some special preview trailers of this epic television journey.
The series sees three Hollywood A-list actors join forces with ex-F1 driver Mika Salo and British ex-Superbike champion Neil Hodgson to take on some of the toughest terrain in the world, at the harshest times of the year. The vehicle of choice? A specially-modified Nissan Patrol filled with Shell Helix Ultra fully synthetic motor oil.
In Episode 1, UK actor Tom Hardy and ex-F1 driver Mika Salo brave the extreme -56ºC Siberian cold as they tackle the ‘Road of Bones.’ Episode 2 features US actor Henry Cavill and British ex-Superbike champion Neil Hodgson in the blistering 50ºC heat of China’s Taklamakan Desert, and Episode 3 sees US actor Adrien Brody and Salo in the jungles of Ulu Sedili, Johor during the monsoon season.
