GALLERY: MINI Paceman vs MINI Countryman

P90115690

The MINI Countryman brought about many sessions of controversial banter to the MINI brand amongst enthusiasts on whether a larger than usual four-door vehicle fit within the MINI brand. But whether the spirit of it is right or wrong, it’s probably here to stay, and won’t be part of certain MINI models that might not get renewed with the next life cycle. And the Countryman family has now been extended with a coupe sister called the MINI Paceman.

Here’s a gallery of the Countryman next to its sleeker two-doored cousin, the MINI Paceman, which will be launched in Malaysia later this year. Which do you prefer, the Countryman or the Paceman?

Only very stupid people buy Mini in Malaysia. So silly pricing. Looks like a Myvi. Better to buy a F30 320i. A good 2012 F30 320i or 320d now has dropped to RM190,000.

Mini is for clowns like Mr Bean. When you drive one, you got the pee brain of Mr Bean.

      • Mini is definitely not for you two poor guys…

Mr Bean makes more money in a day than your whole year salary…

    • Not everyone shares the same preference. Given that I have X amount of money to splurge on a fun car, I still wouldnt not give the Paceman a go solely for its ridiculous speed meter being in the middle of the dashboard.

Don’t you think the mini shape look like Jabba the hut sat on it ? Buy camry lar. Save the headache and hassle. Top in sales and top in reliability. Go go Toyota.

Mini uses BMW engine. BMW always breakdown. So how? Pay RM250,000 but wait for the tow truck to come every so often

Their rate of breakage is higher than say Mercedes but people still buy them for their good looks and handling….that’s all there is to it. I wun touch a BMW unless I have loads of money for the unexpected as their warranty only lasts for 2 years comparing to Audi and Mercedes 4 year warranty.

The Mini here is totally overpriced so its only reserved for people who got the moolah and wants to be seen arriving in style.

      • ahahhaha. what logic are you presenting here?

Car sales are influenced with commodities such as price of steel, incise taxing policies etc.

Not based on what consumers ‘feel’ or criticize about.

Car prices are seen to be in ridiculous figures from SEA across to Australia. Want to blame the car makers? Shove it up the govt’s ass. Its the importing policies that jack the price way above the means of an ordinary working-class adult.

    • agree with KS. stucked-up ppl should just stay away from premium makes if they can’t afford…it just makes them feels sooooo bad looking at one of those :)
