A second sketch of the Geneva-bound Mazda Hazumi concept – showing the car in full, this time – has emerged on the Internet. This offers us the best look yet at how the next-generation 2015 Mazda2 will be. It appears that the small hatchback wears the Kodo design language rather well, doesn’t it?
Before you say “it’s just a concept; the real thing will look nothing like it,” think again. Mazda is no Subaru, and Hiroshima’s last two concepts, the Minagi and Takeri, really did preview their corresponding production models, the CX-5 and Mazda6 respectively, rather closely. History is definitely on Mazda’s side, this time.
Little else is known about the upcoming baby Mazda, but rumours are abound that it will ditch its current Ford-based platform (which is shared with the Fiesta) for the company’s own modular architecture. As for the current Mazda2, it will carry on in the North American market, but with a Toyota badge up front. Yes, really.

If it perform like Swift Sport in term of superb handling, pocket rocket speed, paddle shift or manual and agile handling steering. I take this an option for Mazda 2
new mazda2 come with flat tyre…LOL
Sounds like VW, have to call tow truck all the time to tow the car!
This one looks awesome.. I think if they come out with sedan version might look odd.
Abis la Proton GSC kena bash kaw-kaw….
Mazda vs Proton? No contest man!
Come, don’t every thing related to potong!!!
Furthermore, don’t copy paste the comment “Abis la.. bash kaw kaw… “
my money is on mazda. since mazda2 already won 2008 world car of the year, i’m sure they will get the production design right the first time, perhaps try to get another win with this new model. after all, they never failed to impress with CX-5 and mazda6.
so, satu ringgit anyone? :)
Wow!
Looks like a mean little machine. Slap on 200hp engine and give the A1 a run for its money.
Did Mazda pay pattern fees to angry bird or flappy bird ? or whatever bird !!
This one looks ‘tulan’
very nice, the sketch looks like car in the water, may be the concept related with water living thing.
Oh mann. What can I say.. nice…
haha, maybe radiator leaking concept…
nice looking. infact nicer than new mazda 3 :P
Mazda2 is always a better option compared to Jazz & Swift in term of look &, style, but spaciousness-wise, its a bit let-down. Nevertheless, its bigger sibling, the 3 and 6 have always been smaller compared to their C & D segment competitors (T & H), interior-wise.
In our local scene, Mazda still hasn’t been able to catch up with Nissan Honda Toyota. Can they follow Nissan’s turn-around path? Its interesting to see how they fare this year.
I look forward to this Mazda2. It has huge potential and I think Mazda now is worth considering for Malaysia. Only price will tell..
