Next up to announce its range-wide post-GST price list is Lexus Malaysia and as a whole, it’s good news all round. From the looks of it, only the ES 300h hybrid is expected to cost more following the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
For starters the Lexus CT 200h now costs RM255,727.50 on-the-road (OTR) without insurance – a drop of RM1,158 or 0.45% when compared to its pre-GST price tag. The recently-launced Lexus NX range now begins at RM287,199 OTR sans insurance for the 200t variant while the range-topping NX 300h goes for RM372,110 – a decrease of RM2,890 from its pre-GST price tag of RM375,000 for the latter.
On the other end of the scale, the LS range will now witness a decrease of up to RM13,677 courtesy of the dip in price for the Lexus LS 600h L. The sole model to be priced higher is the ES 300h with its price rising slightly to RM353,201 – a minute increase over the original figure of RM353,000.
The reduction lines up well with what was said earlier on by UMW Toyota president Datuk Ismet Suki. “There will be price reduction up to RM4,000 or 2% for Toyota and Lexus models,” he said. As one can see from the attached graphic, the 2.04% decrease for the GS 350 F Sport model confirms Ismet’s statement.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Very low RV, better buy proton saga like what Sam did.
Never buy Lexus la. Now 2010 Lexus LS460L selling for RM950,000 brand new is now selling RM130,000. Go to mudah to verify yourself
RV can jatuh over RM800,000 in 4 years plus. Only buy a Lexus if you are super rich and you roll in money.
So, UMW give less also no point la.
Better buy NX 200t premium than ct200h f sport
awesome!
Hahahahah 14k reduction for something thats cost RM 1 mil?… doesnt really matter now aint it?
What r ur opinion if increase RM30-300?
better than nothing right…although its a meager sum
Every one should thank GST for price reduction for all car manufacture. This is part of Gov’s plan to reduce car price since 2 years ago.
Am really eager for Gov’s plan next on how to reduce car price.
If we do a backward calculation… eg nx 200 t premium. ..a reduction of 5k, which means the original price before mark up is roughly 150k only..since 10% sales tax is charge directly on the cost of the car before everything else. Can anyone confirm if this calculation is accurate or at least close ?
thanks govt…really appreciate it
I like your name.. MCB. HAHAHAHAH!!!
Now everyone can afford to drive a Lexus.
pas savings to customers even small, signs of a manufacturer with good intention..
If the price were to go up by RM3K-6K people would be furious about it with reasons saying you can do alot with that amount of money. But when the price went down for the same amount,it is considered insignificant drop. Odd indeed.
i wonder why bother to post out price…
