The Toyota WOW Road Tour will be making a comeback and will take place nationwide from March 22 to April 10 at six locations on different dates. Of more significance this time round, will be the 2016 Toyota Hilux, which will make its unofficial debut in Malaysia in the form of a sneak preview.
Toyota WOW Road Tour locations and dates:
Setia City Convention Centre – March 26 to 27 Batu Kawah New Township (MJC), Kuching – April 2 to 3 Juru Auto City, Penang – April 2 to 3 Linear Park (near Aeon Tebrau), Johor Bahru – April 9 to 10 Kompleks Sukan Likas, Kota Kinabalu – April 9 to 10 RTC – Teman, Kota Bharu – April 22 to 23
For the duration of the event, there will be daily lucky draws and spectator-centric activities, of which visitors can partake in. Said activities include a Corolla Altis Gymkhana and a Vios Rally.
Depending on the location of the road tour, expect to find free car inspection, food trucks, a merchandise and shopping gallery and a kid’s fun zone.
Also, visitors who purchase a brand new Toyota during the tour will be qualified to enter into the “Buy and Win contest.” Lucky owners will win either a Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8G as the main prize or a Vios TRD Sportivo as the second. Meanwhile, an e-Service Voucher worth up to RM500 is also available as a winning prize.
Elsewhere, there will be various Toyota models on display. A “Test-drive and Win” contest is also available, with a total of 200 shopping vouchers worth RM500 to be given away. Those interested in buying a new Toyota will also receive a free gift when they ask about their current vehicle’s trade-in value.
“Encouraged by the enthusiastic response to the Toyota WOW Road Tour last year, UMW Toyota Motor has decided to have it again. Besides the exciting show of current Toyota models, visitors will also get a sneak preview of the all-new Toyota Hilux,” said Datuk Ismet Suki, president of UMW Toyota.

Remember there is one Vios version with free DRL (by hacking a slot at the front OEM bumper) last few months? I finally saw one in action today. I almost thought no people buy LOLX
You blind or what, that hacking a slot bumper DRL Vios, called Vios TRD can flood SuprimaS.
Still I cannot brain what’s so special about Vios TRD vs Vios G?

It would be better if UMW can bring in some concept cars or latest Toyota model for show. E.g Toyota FR-S, new Prius, C-HR, Mirai.
Other than test drive session, they should also organise ‘test drift’ session with Vios and all-new Hilux (but Hilux is vastly preferable, can do 2 in 1 that is off road and drift).
