        • Toyota Buyers are Traitors on Feb 14, 2016 at 5:50 pm

Sales of Toyota is so bad now. Infact UMW is running at a loss. But UMW don’t care. Their cash cow is Perodua.

So Malaysians will NEVER EVER EVER get VSC or more airbags in the Vios or Altis.

Come on lah, even RM160k Camry also got 2 airbags and no VSC, apa lagi junk Vios and junk Altis.

UMW consider our lives lower than dirt. Those who buy Toyota in Malaysia are actually traitors because they support a company that thinks our lives are dirt. these buyers have no regard for fellow Malaysians.

Just like Shark Fin soup, only a real idiot will go and buy it. It shows he is selfish and don’t care about the poor sharks.

Here in Malaysia, toyota buyers are the same. they are real idiots who are promoting UMW to further give fellow Malaysians low spec low safet cars.

Toyota clever to do rebates and discounts but cannot give more airbags and basic VSC on any of their cars. In Europe and US, VSC is compulsory no matter how cheap your car is. That is how important VSC is

In Malaysia, Toyota rips people. They overcharge their cars by 3 fold and yet, they take out the VSc in their cars endangering your life.

The chances of accident is super super super high if a car has no VSC. Go and google paultan’s article on VSC and see for yourself. Once you read it, you will never touch a car without VSC

I have no idea why UMW does this to us Malaysians. Already overcharge us 3x, then double whammy, take out airbas, take out VSC and take out about 20 other safety features available as standard in global Toyotas of the same model

As for the Vios, a 5 or more speed auto-transmission, besides the vsc, will make it attractive. Time for UMW-Toyota to value the life of Malaysians. Cutting down on safety features is not caring.

Most Toyoda drivers are skillful drivers and civilised gentlemens (except for those mostly Vios-driving Ah Bengs sponsored by parents) they dont need VSC tat gave false sense of security, they rely on their pure driving skills

Vios with their obsolete 4 speed auto. Cannot sell my friend. That is why they are offering 4k rebate. Don’t be tempted by their low specs Vios. Toyota u better upgrade your engine and transmission. 7 speed cvt or maybe or 6 speed conventional auto.

don’t b tempted by the 4k. it is not worth at today RM value. is less than RM50 for 7 yrs loan & less than RM40 for 9 yrs loan.

show the automotive industry what is supply & demand & who r the boss. let them cry like a baby to the gov asking for help (dreaming reduce tax).

knowing our brilliant minister so will, i bet they will say threatening state like “they have to increase tax to cover loses of income”

Good job Toyota by having mercy and consideration for others.

If Vios comes with 6 airbags, VSC, dual VVT-i engine and CVT gearbox, the sales of Honda will be badly affected and Proton will be even worst.

By having the current specs for the Vios, Altis and Camry, it is a win win situation where others can still maintain their business while UMW can earn more.

It is better this way so you won’t see all Toyota and Perodua on the road. More of other manufacture cars on the road to make it more interesting.

I guess the economy is bad and times are getting bad.
UMW Malaysia, please have a 30% price reduction, y on y to boost sales.

Ask your MD/Chairman to approve this ASAP.

Generally new car market Is in crisis ( T, H, N and M) and everyone is offering discount in desperation. The most basic Vios is similar in spec compared to Almera and Attrage.( 4spd AT, no VSC, front airbags only) Only Honda City offers the best deal at the highest spec but most expensive trim. So how well you want to spec your new car depends on how much you are willing to spend. Resale value is relevant if you need good trade in value to go towards deposit of your next car. Huge discount offered by any dealers should be good news to the buyers and should be welcome, not to pour scorn on any car brand dealers. We the consumers or buyers have the most to gain from the discount war among the Japanese brands. Feel sorry for those who bought before the discount

    That Vios ‘offer’ could mean:
    – adding VSC, TC and 6 airbags cost you RM4k; so if future Vios going to have those, it should be just +RM4k of current price – which is still shit anyway.

    – Vios would have been sold RM4k cheaper – what’s the diff from 90k to 86k? It’s safety level is still Proton Persona/Saga level. Why not compare Honda City? Different league.

Worth to buy in 2016, seriously??!!
