VIDEO: Fate of the Furious – FF8 trailer finally arrives

After a trip down nostalgia lane with its teaser trailer, the full theatrical trailer for the eighth instalment in the Fast & Furious franchise has finally arrived. Fate of the Furious is its name, and rest assured, they spared no expense with this one either.

For starters, there’s the star-studded cast, which brings back nearly the entire “family.” Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris are all back for “one last ride.”

From Furious 7, we once again have Kurt Russell, and Jason Statham reprising their roles as Frank Petty and Deckard Shaw. However, the new baddie in this film is none other than Charlize Theron, who plays a criminal mastermind known as Cipher.

She will be responsible for disrupting the family, which leads to one major plot twist that you’ll witness in the trailer. Other things you’ll also see are plenty of explosions, stunts, jumps, crashes, smashing, the Rock going HAM on some unlucky people, and of course, an assortment of cars.

Fate of the Furious will be released on April 14, 2017, and will be followed by two more films, with the ninth film going on the silver screen on April 19, 2019, while the tenth (and maybe the final) instalment will arrive on April 2, 2021. Still excited?

there is an eight in the word fate (feight?). so Fate of the Furious can also be read as Eight of the Furious.

    • Nah! The two Scorpenes are still in ‘maintenance leave’ since forever, how come they be operational?

      • Only 1 is out for some time due to scheduled refit and upgrading. The other still patrols out from sepanggar.

  • Akulas have a top speed of 35knots submerged, little over 65kph, my pasar lady who sells vegetable can do faster in her clunk up Rusa. And that’s submerged, they are only capable of 10 knots surfaced and nearly walking pace when it comes to cutting through thick ice. So how the hell these people in Souped up Subarus and Chellenger are unable to outrun even that?

But still, the fast and the furious, with or without Paul, have always been the WTF and the illogical. And as much explosion as they thrown in. I don’t think there’s much I still like in it as a car person.

    • Of course in reality, once the conning tower breaches the ice, it shudnt be able to move forward without causing damages to the tower. So jangan persoal movie logic.

  • This fast and furious saga is really just that – fast and furious, but nothing more.

No essence to the storyline. You want quality movie with quality story and nice plot build-up, watch star wars.

So good that they had to just recycle the entire storyline?

      Hahahahahahaha.

There is a time and place for mindless explosions.

Statham and Diesel are short guys. But when standing with the Rock (who is 6 feet 3), they are only a couple of inches shorter. Do they stand on stools for that?
