BMW Group Malaysia has enhanced the existing BMW Oil Inclusive Programme by providing Maybank customers with the option of an EzyPay instalment plan.
As a recap, the BMW Oil Inclusive Programme allows customers to extend the service of their BMW vehicles within a set number of years or mileage period, with a choice of five years/60,000 km or five years/100,000 km, whichever comes first.
Take for example, a BMW 1 Series registered in 2013 with a mileage of 70,000 km. As the car followed the previous warranty and service programme, which has since been replaced with an improved one since June 2015, it would now be out of its service and warranty programme.
However, purchasing a five-year/100,000 km Oil Inclusive Programme this year will allow the owner to extend the free scheduled service programme for his/her 1 Series until year 2023 or 170,000km, whichever comes first.
With the ability to pay for the Oil Inclusive Programme (prices range from RM2,964 to RM7,436) in instalments, customers can now enjoy six- to 12-month repayment periods with the Maybank instalment plan.
BMW Malaysia has also provided a table (posted below) that shows the approximate cost per service according to the vehicle models respectively, calculated based on average vehicle service interval of 10,000 km, which could differ by vehicle manufacturing date and user’s driving behaviour.
“We at BMW Group Malaysia are always in an ongoing pursuit of ways to enhance the sheer pleasure of a BMW ownership experience by providing quality initiatives. With this new offer, our goal is to affirm our initial sentiments for owners to enjoy their cars and peace of mind ownership experience even after the original service period,” said Han Sang Yun, managing director and CEO of BMW Group Malaysia.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
If you need to pay its maintenance by installment… it’s really putting much doubt on your ability to afford the car.
Not really. This is to ensure owners still go to official BMW workshops to do their service. Most owners will happily ditch the official one and go to outside workshops once warranty is over.
This is good. Infact, all car manufacturers must give their car owners the option to extend their warranty. In overseas, this is the cae.
In Malaysia, most car companies are Government owned, so they are reluctant to extend the warranty of their cars for fear that
1) replacing parts will rugi the GLC car company
2) people will not buy new cars as they are happy with their old warrantied cars. so GLC owned car companies will rugi
Really? Do explain further how Norbert Reithofer (Chairman) & Harald Krüger (CEO) repots to PM.
I think he mean’t the distributorships which are “supposed” GLCs. Saying that a GLC is government owned is a bit of a stretch. His comment is pure speculation.
I think is more on the warranty that the owner want.
BMW gips free Service + Repair Inclusive. So no problemo.
Good job BMW! More affordable Conti car maintenance for money tight M’sians.
once the car starts giving you endless problems which all bmw’s do..only then you probably need to take the installment plan from maybank. total money pit these cars..
This probably does not cover cars not brought in by BMW Malaysia correct? Also, only RM812 for M3 service? Is this even correct? That’s quite cheap. Or is that the amount for monthly installment?
If they cant even afford to pay for maintenance of their car, they shudnt be owning these luxury cars.
I service my BMW F30 320d myself. Cost of oil Shell Helix Ultra 5L = RM200, cost of oil filter = RM50 (Bavarian Auto Parts)
You do the math.
I take it anytime. Stated there it depends on user’s driving behaviour so it only make sense if you service your car more than 3 times a year. That’s why it’s called Free Scheduled Service. Btw pls include labour cost as well.
but my guess is that most will want the warranty to continue wt this plan….esp for those who bought the car during the prev 2 years warranty only programme
this include warranty
I thought Car Servicing is more than just oil and filer change?

Know it is just business but nevertheless it leaves a bad-taste that is a LUXURY-BRAND and MAINTENANCE INSTALLMENT.
Why not? It covers grey imports as well. So many people want to show off but can’t afford brand new so it suits them well
If paying cash on this really bring u any little additional burden, better don’t own bmw
Prestige need to jaga maa.. hutang pun ok.
What tokmoh meant is if a BMW owner needs to pay in instalments for the Oil Inclusive Program and can’t afford to get it all paid for, then that owner must be the definition of ‘biar papa, asal bergaya.’
Hmm does that mean owners who don’t have any more warranty will now be able to get their warranty back? How far back does this plan cover? The only example is cars bought in 2013 so what about vehicles before that year?
Sean, not upgrading your 316i ? just wondering..
Price that you see here is every month installment payment, I believe.
Price per interval of 10,000km. Its a brilliant idea for BMW.. they get upfront money for regular service. Imagine if they can get 1000 bimmer, that would be in average close to RM 4M..
Dear paultan.org, can you clarify with BMW Malaysia does this Oil Inclusive Program actually extend the warranty also?
Your text here mention it does extend the warranty but the original article about Oil Inclusive Program do not mention about warranty extension at all.
is e92 m3 v8 qualified for the oil program?
BMW Malaysia had numerous oil sludge engine seize due to Long Interval Oil Change on E90 N54 engines, right after the warranty period. Owners diligently follow BMW advice on oil change. Would such a extended warranty program be beneficial to them? Probably but car companies are well known for finding any excuse/fault to void warranty also. Caveat Emptor.
