Honda StepWGN – pointer to new Jazz front design?

The Honda StepWGN’s design could give us a preview of how we should expect the next Honda Jazz (called the Honda Fit in the JDM market) to look like.

Previous artist’s impressions by both a Japanese magazine and Auto Express indicate a similiar trapezoidal grille to the one found on the new Stream and Odyssey, as well as notoriously on the new CR-V, and similiar Peugeot-like headlamps to the one on the StepWGN. The StepWGN has a peculiar name indeed, spelled like it was thought up by a generation of vowel-ommitting Flickr users. It is an MPV powered by Honda’s K20A 2.0 litre DOHC i-VTEC engine.

Anyway, read the two related posts to find out both a Japanese and British take on how the new Jazz will look like. Also, look after the jump for more photos of the Honda StepWGN, as well as two more artist impressions of the new Honda Jazz.

The new 2008 Honda Jazz will make it’s debut at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show in October, and go on sale the next year.

Both the stepwgn and the jazz look bland, uninspiring and boring. They should outsource their design to Pininfarina like what Hyundai did

    wahlaueh…

although it is a boxy look, but in terms of space, it really gives a spacious cabin. Still better looking than our Juara even though Juara also from Japan… Japanese like boxy cars.

So that moustache is becoming Honda's corporate grille now? Surprisingly they don't look so bad on the stepwgn and the Jazz as compared to the CRV. The one Crv was shocking.

So cute and unusual the front look.

This would be the new identity of Honda. Just like Peugeot with its wide smiling grin, Honda has its own grint too. The new Jazz looks more like a face lift, no significant change.

What what that?? (follow the intonation from Worms game)

for the MPV it's look OK. but for jazz….they should fire the designer. i hope new city will follow civic design to become mini-civic.

a very contrasting design as opposed to the civic, CRV already looks bad now we got the jazz following the typical floating grill….although personally i think those grills adopted by Stream and Odyssey didnt look that bad.

next would be the 2008 accord….what will happen to it i wonder.
