Jaguar Service Clinic for Malaysian Jaguar Owners

Jaguar LogoSISMA Auto Sdn Bhd will be conducting an exclusive Service Clinic for Jaguar owners at its Glenmarie 4S center this month from the 23rd to the 29th of January 2008. Each session will be one hour in duration and are limited to 14 people per day.

The Service Clinic is aimed at helping Jaguar owners better understand the technology behind their Jaguars engine, the role of diagnostic equipment used during servicing, what the various indicators mean and how Jaguar service technicians respond to these to repair and service Jaguar cars.

At the sessions will be experts Danny Hinchin, Regional Aftersales Manager, Jaguar & Land Rover Asia, Mr James Knowles, Regional Technical Manager, Jaguar & Land Rover Asia and Jaguars highly trained technical experts.

“Cars these days are not as simple as they used to be. Today, they are very much computer-driven and technicians are heavily dependent on diagnostic equipment for servicing. Through this Clinic we hope Jaguar owners will learn more about the technology that drives their Jaguars and, how our service technicians diagnose their vehicles,” said SISMA Auto Managing Director Tuan Syed Hussain Syed Mohamed.

Those wishing to register for the clinics can email [email protected] or call 03-5569 3311. The workshops are by appointment only.

Truly enough that cars nowadays run with the help of electronics. Once a new car breaks down, the mechanic under the tree would give up without even opening the bonnet…

I’m sure those Jaguar owners would breathe a sigh of relief, and suddenly come up to life after knowing that such an outlet like SISMA is around to attend to their beloved, priceless felines…

I think the only reason Jaguar is not popular for the rich and famous Malaysian is the lack of after sales support. It’s too expensive to maintain even for the rich people. Of course, the Jag looks, urm, so antique. But I look the new XF though. I find it attractive.

Jaguars are really not very much more expensive to maintain compared to a MB or BMW. brake pads for an s type cost around RM800, you can source brand new alternators for around RM1200. The common misconception is that Jags are expensive to maintain. I am an average person and have been owning a second hand 2002 model 3.0 S type for a year now. No reliability issues, and services have been very affordable.

I always admire jaguar cars since I was young and now turning 40, I am still looking forward to own one perhaps within this year. I think S-Type is at reasonable price now, still in desired – modern shape but the only worries me is whether I can live with it (Maintenance + Parts). Can a 4 figures earners afford this as a weekend car?
Your advice is most welcomed. Please email me at [email protected]
