Caterham AeroSeven Concept – official images leaked

Caterham AeroSeven leaked-02

Here is a set of what appears to be official images of the Caterham AeroSeven Concept, leaked ahead of its official unveiling at this weekend’s Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. We know that a concept car will be be unveiled by Caterham boss Tony Fernandes this afternoon at the city state’s Pan Pacific hotel, but here’s a little preview.

UPDATE: The Caterham AeroSeven Concept is now officially revealed – click here for the full story.

The AeroSeven Concept is the first model to be designed and developed with significant input from all of Caterham Group’s specialist business arms – Caterham Technology & Innovation, Caterham Composites and Caterham F1 Team. It was teased by the Malaysian-owned F1 team via silhouette stickers on the race machines of Charles Pic and Giedo van der Garde at the Italian GP earlier this month.

The profile and proportions are familiar, but the AeroSeven doesn’t have the Seven’s open wheels. Painted in Caterham’s signature green-yellow theme, the two-seater appears to be rich in exposed carbon fibre. Bear in mind that this is NOT the sportscar that Caterham is working on with Renault’s Alpine. Offspring from that JV will be launched in early 2016.

More details when we get it, of course.
