Lexus CT 200h F-Sport facelift completely undisguised

Lexus-CT-6

First unveiled in 2010, the Lexus CT Hybrid hatchback is due for a facelift about now, before a next-generation model debuts sometime in 2015. Today we can show you exactly how it will look like in F Sport guise, thanks to our spy photographers who dropped by what appears to be a photography session.

The CT, available only in CT 200h guise using the Toyota Prius‘ 1.8 litre Hybrid Synergy Drive powertrain, gets the new aggressive Lexus spindle grille. We also see new alloy wheels and new bumpers on the rear. The headlamps and taillamps look similar to the current model though.

Lexus-CT-9

A facelift is timely, as the premium C-segment hatchback market has had plenty of activity since the CT was first unveiled – there are plenty of new refreshed entries such as the Audi A3, Mercedes-Benz A-Class, BMW 1 Series and Volvo V40, and even Infiniti has shown interest in the segment in the form of the Q30 Concept.

The Lexus CT 200h could continue with the Prius Hybrid Synergy Drive system, or Lexus could update it with the system from the Prius Plug-in. However, as we can only see one side of the car in these photos, we can’t tell if there’s a lid for the plug-in socket on the other side.

Only lazy and poor people cannot buy this beauty. If you work hard, you will have money. You can then be like most people, buy a good Toyota which has best RV or this Lexus. Don’t blame the world if you are poor. You are poor because you don’t work hard enough and in office you are surfing the net.

        1. A-class is more cantiq.
        2. Volvo is more respectable than Lexus. Lexus is a luxurious brand, no doubt.
        3. For a cute car for girl, most people will still choose Mini/Beetle/A-class. Or CRV if the family is from middle class.
        4. Proton Saga sales is better than CT200h which beats Audi and Volvo in sales, yes.

We almost never see any richmen without British/German vehicles in their garages, but we have commonly noticed the absence of Japanese and American luxurious brands there.

dude, seriously….a lot of car the battery is at the back.that doesnt guarantee magical weight distribution..longitude engine placement, how “deep” the engine is placed..as center as possible the driver area is and the transmission placement that does!battery doesnt do much kid.

      • Test drive 1 to believe.. Even a youtube channel called buycartv comfirmed that the A6 2.0T hybrid has slightly better handling compared to A6 2.0T. both fornt wheel drive, by hydrid has better weight balance.

The CT200h used to be priced reasonably. Few years ago, it is indeed unthinkable to be able to get a Lexus at 190k-210k. But now with the launch of BMW 1 series and Merc A class, that pricing is not good enough. CT200h should be priced much lower than the BMW and Merc, since the CT200h gets tax exemption for being hybrid. UMW is deep pocketing a lot of money!

Dont really fancy the CT, but the F Sport bodykit does make it look nicer. But am curious about the red car, which is under the blue wrap. The grille is not the F Sport type, but has horizontal lines. Could be a normal CT? Or another car?

  • All those lexus-basher didn’t own (or can’t afford?) a lexus before. Buy one then u can qualify to comment on the experience of owning lexus. A lots of bmw/mercs/audi owner hav their own share of bad story. A lexus owner poor comments comes rarely. For me, the company even loan me a company car for a week; and thats before I even paid for the car. ( only the min 10k deposit)

stop lying, every car have it’s issue.even toyota, yes, toyota…but perceptions of toyota cars from it’s owners memang biased…bmw.merc/audi is less biased..because merc/audi/bmw owners got nothing to proof….while toyota owners trying HARDDDDD!!1 to prove that theirs toyota is superior….

Mate, that’s like saying all Audi’s are VW’s.

You shouldn’t be generalizing certain things, as it’d make you look dim-witted.

go ask those ppl, why buy a porsche, bentley or even Lambo?? they are just VW afterall… for the money that u can get multiple VW… (don’t get me wrong, they do share alots of parts, just like how Lexus and Toyota work) and also , Rolls royce, its just a BMW afterall… pay million for BMW??? thats is utterly rubbish… (a RR ghost is essentially a 7 series only) so, get a life dude….
