Volkswagen Vision Gran Turismo concept teased, coming to Gran Turismo 6 on PS3 on May 23

You’ve seen the Mercedes-Benz and last week’s BMW, but that’s not the last of the Vision Gran Turismo concepts – many more companies will be chipping in with their contributions to the project for Gran Turismo 6 on the PlayStation 3, and Volkswagen is set to be the next.

The company has teased the new video game concept car with a video as well as a website that greatly references the Golf GTI. From the detail images on the site – showing a prominent GTI fender badge as well as large side air intakes aft of the doors – it is very likely a hardcore racing version of last year’s Design Vision GTI concept, which made its debut at Wörthersee.

Like the Mercedes-Benz and BMW concepts before it, the Volkswagen is set to appear in GT6 for free through a software update shortly after its unveiling on May 23. Other companies committed to the project include Alfa Romeo, Alpine, Aston Martin, Audi, Bertone, GM Design, Honda, Infiniti, Italdesign Giugiaro, Jordan, Nike, Nissan, Peugeot, SRT (Chrysler) and Zagato.

  • This makes me extremely excited despite not being a huge VW fan, 180 bucks for this game, well spent.

Argh..i heard that the sony already allowed vw team to add additional option to the engine upgrading from the 7-speed DSG to newest prototype 10-speed DSG. This is because the vw will add real world dry clutch DSG problem to the real driving simulator game.this should be great.so many people just talk about DSG for no reason, but this time they can experience it at nurburgring track or even at suzuka circuit.Cool.
