Jalan Genting Kelang lanes increased from four to six

highway

Roadworks on Jalan Genting Kelang have completed, opening up additional lanes for road users to travel on. The lanes have been increased from four to six and stretches for 1.5 km in total. According to a report in The Star, total cost for the entire project was RM 39.6 million.

Undertaken by Seroja Angerrik Development, the recently-concluded two-phase upgrading works started from the junction at Jalan 1/27A all the way to the MRR2, while phase two which was completed on July 15 this year, continued on from Jalan Air Panas to Jalan 1/27A, in which road widening works was carried out.

Jalan Genting Kelang connects a number of residential areas like Wangsa Maju, Taman Bunga Raya, Taman Melati, Taman Permata and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman to the city, which means traffic is expected to be less congested now that road widening works have been done.

Federal Territories Minister, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said traffic congestion would be reduced along Jalan Genting Kelang now that there is a direct flow from Bulatan Pahang to the MRR2.

You make the road so wide also no point.

There are many open junctions along Jalan Genting Klang. Some cars come out from the right and crossing to the left. Is just more dangerous.

Some cruising slowly on the fast lane but you cannot blame them because right junction up next. But some idiots tend to cut-Q. They don’t shift lane until last minute.

Looking good. The main culprit no brain people park at the side including buses. & junction to p ramlee museum. So, expecting most left lane will be parking lane & congested as usual.

Increase to 8 also no use
2 lanes close for people to park, another 6 lanes will be hogged by idiots one on each lane who dont know or choose not to know “keep left if not overtaking rule”
mostly too busy with texting, phone call, digging nose, putting on makeup

look at nkve around subang/damansara, they widened the road and yet you can barely drive 100kmh on the fast lane
some times you can barely drive 60kmh, its not congested/jam either but got hogged by idiots

    1. Hi Paultan, It’s Seroja Anggerik not angerrik.
    2. The company doesn’t even have a website. Will you spend 39.6mil on a company which in 2015 doesn’t even have a website?
    3. The amount would be like 9.9mil after taking out the donation part.
    4. In less than 6 months time, the road will be doted with pot holes and uneven surface. Wanna bet?
