A partial road closure has been announced in Subang Jaya from now until the end of December, affecting more than 8,000 residents in the area.
Motorists heading towards Persiaran Subang Permai in USJ1 are advised to make a detour via Jalan Subang 3 or Jalan Subang 2 to get to Jalan Subang Permai. The road closure is to facilitate sewerage pipe works for the mixed development project, YouOne, located on the same row as the Giant Hypermarket and Mydin.
The Star reports that the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) has given clearance for the works to take place on Monday to Saturday from 8am to 4pm, and 10pm to 5.30am.
Subang Jaya assemblyman Hannah Yeoh said “the works will take up only one out of two lanes on this road, but it will affect motorist coming from Mydin towards Regalia. Those who are driving into USJ1, passing Giant and Mydin, can still use the road but it will be a long queue since only one lane will be operational.”
The MPSJ will monitor the traffic situation in the area closely and will do its best to ensure the roadworks do not take longer than the given time.
