It’s business as usual for Uber. The transportation network company has announced a promo rate for rides to or from KLIA/KLIA2 – from now until January 5 next year, the fare for all airport-related rides on its uberX service is a flat RM75. No promotion code is necessary during this period.
Its uberXL service – which was introduced in October – to KLIA/KLIA2 remains priced at RM110, while the airport/KL rate for UberBlack is RM200.
With user safety being paramount on its mind, the ride-sharing service has also unveiled a new feature called SafetyNet. It’s a feature that makes the “Share my ETA” feature just a one-step process, so riders can quickly and easily share their ETA.
With SafetyNet, riders can pre-select up to five contacts to receive information about their trip, including their location on a map, as well as the first name and vehicle information of the driver-partner bringing them to their destination.

Be understanding the meaning of “ride-sharing”. The app is not illegal but the act itself is clearly abuse of commercialization
People learn from the leader. When the leader got no dignity. Why would the nation care about morality?
Have to agree with the Star. I registered recently to be an Uber driver just to see what it is about and surprised to find that I am basically a taxi driver with Uber!
I thought I can share my ride or carpool with someone to the office but if that rider goes to KLIA then I have to go there instead of my office route!
For the rider or customer it is very nice, safe and convenient mode of transport and can be much cheaper than the real taxis but for the Uberparnters they are just a taxi and not involved in a ride sharing concept.
Their main office was staffed with newbie workers, youngish hipster types. I did not see any senior staff at their main office in Glomac.
Maybe Paultan can go undercover at Uber and Grabcar and give a more detailed report.
What you’re looking for is Tripda not Uber.
I read an online post on how Uber shall not be referred to as a Ride-Sharing App, instead a Ride-Hailing app.

Now that’s a good deal… Actually this is like a silver lining after government increase the fare for KLIA Express recently.. I was quite disheartened really to see all the increases
Greatjob Uber!!!! I love u!!!
Meanwhile GT1M(Gangster Teksi 1 Malaysia) protesting at roadside and continue to cheat customers!!!!
if uber been legalize in malaysia…….
hehe, gg.com for taxi drivers lo
XD
so uber not yet co-operation with government?
make it legalize and taxi wont be able to complain.
as the fare has been lowered from flat rate RM90 to RM75, will uber still take 20% commission? if yes, drivers is on the losing end. Uber should compensate the drivers for the price differences.
This is promotion rate. Why are you worried about the mechanism? The driver also can decide not to drive you to Klia if its not worth it. Chill bro.
Uber driver will not know where the rider wants to go until he starts the trip. By then it’s too late to reject.
nobody forces anyone to become a uber driver….
