Jeep Renegade Dawn of Justice Special Edition debuts

2016 Jeep® Renegade ‘Dawn of Justice’ Special Edition.

In conjunction with release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Jeep has joined forces in a one-of-kind co-branded partnership with the movie studio to create the 2016 Jeep Renegade Dawn of Justice Special Edition.

Based on the Renegade Latitude 4×4, the special edition Jeep is available in Granite Crystal or Carbon Black exterior paint colours. The crossover also gets gloss black accents along its exterior and 18-inch wheels finished in gloss black. Seeing how Superman has relatively no need for a car, it makes sense that the Jeep’s colour scheme is more catered for The Dark Knight.

The Jeep Renegade’s blacked-out theme extends into the interior, which features black cloth seats, gloss black trim and Metal Diamond accents. The model also gets a reverse camera and Jeep’s Popular Equipment Group – remote start, powered driver’s seat and dual-zone automatic temperature control.

Powering the Renegade Dawn of Justice Special Edition is a 2.4 litre Tigershark four-cylinder engine that is paired to a nine-speed automatic and Jeep Active Drive 4×4 all-wheel drive system (Selec-Terrain with four drive modes). The mill produces 180 hp and 237 Nm of torque.

Interested parties can expect the special edition model in US showrooms later this month, with prices starting at USD$26,250. Accompanying the model’s announcement is a short 30-second ad, with Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck) behind the wheel of the Jeep, apparently preferring it to his Lamborghini Aventador from The Dark Knight Rises.
