Mustang Motorsport Official in Australia is introducing the Ford Mustang Shelby Super Snake. While the modded Mustang is noteworthy, it’s actually the first right-hand drive unit to have arrived Down Under.
While no official information has been released, a look at its specs noted that it is based on the 2015-2016 Mustang GT and it comes with 750 hp as an option. It’s likely to have the same mods as the American version, which include a Ford Performance supercharger for its 5.0 litre V8 mill and a better-performing intercooler and heat exchanger system. It’s available with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
Outside, the Super Snake gets a carbon-fibre hood with a forced scoop and other aerodynamic enhancements including a large rear spoiler. The Super Snake also features Ford Performance suspension components and sits on a set of Weld Racing Super Snake 20-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, with six-piston Wilwood brakes.
Inside, the Super Snake comes with special badging, upgraded badged upholstery, floor mats and a three-gauge dash pod. Elsewhere, the model comes equipped with a raspy Borla exhaust. Meanwhile, in the US, Mustang Motorsport is offering a lesser 650 hp package as well.
The Shelby Super Snake is expected to be somewhat limited even though it’s being offered in Australia. According to the company only 300 units of the 2015 model year Shelby Super Snake will be built. In the US, the 750 hp option costs US$54,999 (RM222,153).
