German tuner Edo Competition has applied its talents at enhancing the styling of the second-generation Audi R8 V10 plus, as if the standard car wasn’t appealing enough already.
As you can see, Edo Competition’s inspiration behind the special R8 appears to come from either the Tron movie franchise or Lamborghini’s limited-edition Centenario. Either way, the result is pretty eye-catching and is in harmony with the technology-filled, mid-engine sports car.
The black-painted body features yellow neon stripes on various areas of the car, including the front grille, fenders, doors, rear diffuser, and carbon-fibre rear wing. Meanwhile, the brake calipers have also been painted yellow to match the ongoing theme here.
Inside, the new R8’s futuristic cabin has been left largely intact. The only change done here can be seen on the seats, where quilted leather is now used. Yellow contrast stitching can be found on said seats and along its edges as well, matching the exterior highlights.
Edo Competition has left the 5.2 litre V10 untouched here, which isn’t a bad thing. The mill has 610 hp and 560 Nm at the ready, propelling the R8 from zero to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and 200 km/h in 9.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 330 km/h. A seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission handles the power delivery to all four corners.

This deserves to be in a Final Fantasy game. ;)
Reminds me of the JPS race cars. Colour scheme looks more at home on a Lotus though.
