The upcoming Kia GT has been spotted by our spy photographers again, this time with its rear cargo door wide open, confirming the four-door GT will indeed be a liftback model.
Beyond that, the prototype is camouflaged in a similar manner as previous sightings of the GT at the Hyundai Design Centre in Irvine, California, and in Europe. Highlights include full-LED headlights, Kia’s signature “tiger nose” grille with a honeycomb mesh and a rakish roofline.
Previewed by the Frankfurt 2011 concept of the same name, the prototype GT appears to retain many design elements, but also introduces more production-ready cues as well, such as conventional side mirrors, ditching the suicide doors for regular ones, as well as new bumpers and wheels.
Judging by the cladding on the test mule’s hood, it appears that Kia will apply some sort of design feature there, likely taken from the 2014 GT4 Stinger Concept. On the mention of the hood, a 3.3 litre twin-turbo V6, 5.0 litre naturally-aspirated GDI V8, or smaller naturally-aspirated mills could be fitted underneath it.
The GT is expected to sit between the Cadenza and K9, and will reportedly be built on the architecture of the Genesis G80 (formerly known as the Hyundai Genesis), with rear- and possibly all-wheel drive being made available.

Either a rope or a button switch is needed. Otherwise, it is purely a show off.
