The Grand Tour goes live on Amazon Prime Nov 18

The TV trio of Clarkson, May and Hammond finally have a set date for the screen debut of their new venture, The Grand Tour. The new show will be aired on Amazon Prime, and judging from the 30-second trailer here, will continue the theme of epic adventures from where they left off during the trio’s tenure with Top Gear.

In addition to grand, sweeping landscapes and a wide assortment of machinery that includes an Alfa Romeo 4C Spider and an Aston Martin Vulcan, the trailer also offers a teaser of what appears to be an on-circuit gathering of the three hottest hypercars of last year – the Ferrari LaFerrari, the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder.

In past months, the presenters went through much deliberation for the naming of the show, before arriving at The Grand Tour. Before this, the presenters also went out to their fans asking them to help give their show a new title. Names suggested include ‘No Limits’, ‘Dip Sticks’, and ‘The Best Car Show… In the World’.

Meanwhile, BBC’s Top Gear rebooted the title with an all-new cast, with a less-than-stellar initial reception.
