New Jaguar Land Rover showroom opens in Penang

Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia has opened a new showroom in Penang for the northern region, via Sisma Auto (Utara) Sdn Bhd, the appointed exclusive dealer for the Jaguar and Land Rover brands. Located along Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah on Penang Island, the showroom is complemented by Sisma Auto Utara’s Jaguar Land Rover service centre along Sungai Pinang which has been operational since 2015.

Sited on 28,000 sq ft of land, the new showroom in Penang is Sisma Auto’s third location after its flagship 3S centre in Glenmarie and its showroom in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. The Penang showroom also serves as a drop-off point, from which Jaguars or Land Rovers can be sent for servicing.

Sisma Auto Utara can be reached at 04-226 2279 for product enquiries and test drive requests, or at 04-288 1155 for aftersales service matters.

I will never touch Jag lah in Malaysia. Pay RM500k for the overpriced car but get treated like pariah.

Their Glenmarie SC, only one in KL, got no place to sit even. No drinks. No biscuit. Even their water machine was spoilt.

You have to stand beside all the drivers waiting for their bosses cars and see through a glass windows the car being serviced.

Disgrace. Some owners like to send their Jags in and not just send their drivers.

    Hopefully Penang changes this.

My advice to Jaguar UK, open direct in Malaysia. Sisma has failed you miserably and given you a bad name. Same with Sime Darby too

better buy X5 Hybrid or Volvo T8 Hybrid. Double the price in UK but only RM388k in Malaysia

Most Jags in UK are half the price of X5 Hybrid or Volvo T8 Hybrid sold in UK but sold double the price in Malaysia.

Jaguar in Malaysia is kept to benefit the AP holders. You see, Gomen allows Sime and Sisma to overprice the Jags big time by few hundred thousand ringgit. So, the impression that Jags are very expensive

This is to allow the AP holders to bring 2nd hand Jags and sell at super profits. For example 3 year old Jag XJ in the UK is hardly 20,000 pounds. Our AP cowboys bring this car in and charge RM500k for this car cause Sisma and Sime are charging RM700k.

So, AP holders untung big time. Buy 20,000 pounds but sell RM500,000.

Sisma and Sime are doing a whole game and drama to benefit the AP holders, most of whom are Sisma and Sime cronies themselves

I agree with the comments of Kunta Bin Kinte. The entire experience of owning a lovely car is not just about the car. It’s the after sales, the servicing and the the service centers should mirror the class of the car. Yes, I feel TATA Motors (JLR Parent Company) must look into this shoddy dealer network. These so called franchised owners are making big bucks of the back of a great brand, hiding behind a brand, and not passing on the whole experience to owners. If JLR were to half succeed in Malaysia, TATA better pull it’s socks up, and study the competition. They should also have a template as to how every dealer & 3S centre should look, feel & smell like. That’s branding ! Many moons ago, Jaguar cars in Malaysia was distributed by Lyons Motors/Inchape Group. Those were quality days !

Both Jag and Land Rover cars in Msia are totally overpriced compared to its German competitors. Plus the fact that se few service centres to serve the country which totally sucks. They will always sell in small numbers with the current formula. Youre way better off getting a BM or an MB

So this is the lousy family business that currently handles the brand in Malaysia??

Good luck to all the car owners!!
