Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio priced above M3 in Australia

Alfa Romeo has announced pricing for the Giulia Quadrifoglio in Australia, and it’s set to be more expensive than the equivalent BMW – where the BMW F80 M3 is priced at $139,615 (RM452,293), the Italian high-performance sedan is listed at $143,900 (RM466,174) in Australia. It does come in as more affordable than its Stuttgart rival, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S, which is priced at $155,615 (RM503,725).

Like the Giulia Quadrifoglio, the C 63 S boasts a horsepower figure in excess of 500 hp – the Merc with 510 hp and 700 Nm of torque from its twin-turbocharged, 4.0 litre V8, while the hot Alfa Romeo produces 510 hp and 600 Nm of torque from its 2.9 litre, twin-turbo V6, propelling it from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 309 km/h.

The Alfa Romeo Giullia Quadrifoglio also holds the current production sedan lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, with a 7 minute 32 second lap time, edging out the Porsche Panamera Turbo which managed a 7:38 around the circuit also known as the Green Hell. In addition to the range-topper, the Alfa Romeo range in Australia will also consist of the base Giulia, Giulia Super and Giulia Veloce.

Alfa such a great car. Unfortunately dealership last time in Malaysia suka tidur and lepak. Same as Fiat in Malaysia. All tidur, rilaks and wait for tongkat.

      So both brands collapsed.

Big mistake to price it that high ! Good car but let’s face it, Alfa does not have the best of reputations…

It’s actually big mistake Ringgit plummeted down drastically. Imo the top tier Quadrifoglio was priced quite nicely between two more established BMW M3 and Mercedes Benz AMG C. Despite the price(obviously for us) is quite high, the performance that it would give out of the motor is intense and yes, imo it is quite worth it because you’ll get a smaller 2.9L TTV6 that have the same horses as a 4.0L TTV8 Mercedes powertrain. Smaller displacement and less cylinder equals better and less fc. Got some extra cash and you’re a car enthusiast that craze for speed? I’d say give it a go.

Lexus is so boring, you might as well drive a electric scooter.

Getting a fine for speeding is not as bad as getting a fine for drink driving. The penalty for drink driving is very harsh down under.

I can see why this Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio is price higher:-

    1) It produced more HP than the M3
    2) It is sexier looking among the trio
    3) It holds the current production sedan lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife with a 7 min 32 sec lap time.
    4) When it comes to dressing up Humans including Cars, the Italians are the Best.

Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Prada & Armani are some of the finest/best $$$ can buy & that include this Alfa sedan.

If U want Style, Looks & Presence, look no further. Just park this Alfa, M3 & C-63 side by side & see who is looking & talking about.

its all about marketing strategy. hyundai malaysia wont sell sonata at same price with camry/accord if the product is not good enough. it did try though, and succeeded but failed miserably with the facelift model. otherwise the ioniq hybrid will be selling at 130k instead of 100k.
