VIDEO: Renault Zoe e-Sport, Z.E. 16 race car in Paris

It was a another win for the Renault e.dams team, with Sebastien Buemi taking pole position during the sixth round of the 2016/17 Formula E Championship in Paris. In the lead up to the race, the French carmaker decided to hold a parade of electric vehicles (EV) through the City of Light.

Leading the parade is two of the fastest electric vehicles bearing the Renault logo – the Z.E. 16 Formula E race car and the Zoe e-Sport Concept. Following close behind the two are a few units of the regular Zoe and Twizy, both of which you can actually buy here in Malaysia.

At first glance, you may favour the race car to be quickest EV in the parade, but that may not be the case. In fact, Renault claims the concept car is quicker, capable of completing the 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.2 seconds.

This is thanks to the two-motor setup on the hot Zoe (one on each axle), which produces a total system output of 462 hp and 640 Nm of torque. Paired with a lightweight body made out of carbon-fibre and Kevlar, four-way adjustable Ohlins dampers, all-round double-wishbone suspension, and you’ve got quite a little machine.
