Perodua’s Pre-Owned Vehicles (POV) division is now up and running with the opening of the first retail POV showroom along Jalan Pahang in Kuala Lumpur. The division sells approved used vehicles à la Toyota Topmark and BMW Premium Selection. According to a motorist who uses the busy thoroughfare daily, the facility opened its doors this week.
The Malaysian auto market leader has been planning this for quite some time now. The original plan was for POV to kick off in the final quarter of 2015, before the launch was delayed to 2016. Perodua bosses have cited the challenges of securing an appropriate location as the reason for the delay.
Previously, Perodua president and CEO Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh told paultan.org that the company will take in cars that are up to seven years old, as cars older than that may be harder to refurbish for resale. So no, you won’t find a refurbished Kelisa or Kenari at POV.
Only Perodua cars will flow back into the POV business – other makes traded in will continue to be wholesaled to used car dealers, as practised since 2013. Aminar explained that the establishment of POV will help Perodua have some form of control over resale values. It will also serve as an alternative to new car customers in challenging economic times.
As with other approved pre-owned businesses, Perodua POV’s cars come with assurances that one does not get from a regular used car dealer. Peace of mind is the main selling point here, and the cars sold come with up to 18 months of extended warranty. The cars have been refurbished and given a 165-point check by Perodua, also to ensure the car is “free from body cut and join”.
Perodua says that there are no hidden charges involved, and Perodua Total Protect comprehensive insurance coverage and auto assist is available.

Kudos to p2…now i can buy my fav myvi..shukor la ada yg perhatin
Good job. Basically those kereta kana tarik can be redeployed to be tarik again and again and again…
They (Poodua) should also include ‘special package’ as a sweetener for their used car buyers. Look at our beloved brand new Biza, GearUpToHell bodykits combined with special package really sold like pisang goreng panas.
Up to 7 years old not feasible. It should be up to 15 years old. They should cater to the low wage earner…
if the myvi change the hood and badge to look like passo, can still accept?
If myvi with lexus badge can get extra 20k trade in value or not?
