Honda Malaysia records 87,800-unit year-to-date sales

Honda Malaysia has announced its latest year-to-date sales performance for 2017, recording 87,800 units sold from January to October. The company says it remains confident it will be able to hit its sales target of 100,000 units by the end of the year.

With its latest update, the company continues to maintain its year-to-date number one position in the non-national segment, and number two in overall total industry volume.

The introduction of Sport Hybrid (Jazz Hybrid and City Hybrid) and VTEC Turbo (Civic and CR-V) models have contributed to Honda Malaysia’s sales performance, being well accepted by car buyers. According to the company, Sport Hybrid variants have notched up more than 1,860 booking units in five months, exceeding its target by 24%.

Meanwhile, VTEC Turbo variants have contributed to 60% of Civic sales and 71% for the CR-V. Today, the company introduced the updated Accord, which is now available with the Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver assistance systems (also available for the CR-V). Moving forward, the company will soon launch its sixth and last new model for 2017 – the Civic Type R.

Higher taxes must be imposed on foreign car brands. Increase gov tax revenue and local car brand sales, Korea products such as KIA and Hyundai as well as Samsung gadgets have taken the world by storm. These products got where they are though local patriotism. Majority of Koreans supported them! We can do the same for Malaysia!

Malaysians did support Proton. The past 30 yrs, nearly every Malaysian bought a Proton. So, Malaysians were very loyal to Proton.

It is Proton that played Malaysians out with very low quality cars and bad after sales.

      Get your facts right

Hopefully Honda sales will increase and make Honda to be leader except for Perodua where Perodua will decrease their sales because Perodua doesnt have any safety features, Peoruda also having rear axle problem, Perodua also doesnt have any EV Vehicles and also Perodua is also having basic transmission gear which is 4 speed auto where Honda have more safety features, Honda also doesnt have any rear axle problem, Honda also have EV Vehicles and Honda also have advanced transmission gear which is 6 Speed Auto or 7 Speed Auto. Buy Honda better, dont buy Perodua.

Just saw the Civic type-R HB on the way to showroom in Subang Jaya in a trailer. It looks damn good. I noticed almost all guys were ogling when the trailer stopped on the traffic lights.

Regardless of the price, I think Honda will sell more Type-R even if the other car company combine all Renault Sports models, Ford Sports models & Peugeot sports models put together. Cheers…

So when will other Honda models like Shuttle, Jade, S660 etc etc will come into Malaysia??. Honda Shuttle got hybrid version and City got 4wd version. Uprade the battery pack to 1.5kwh and keep the 4wd version below RM100k. Sure will sell very well. In 2018 will there be a 1.0litre or 1.2litre turbo version for all these model as well for Honda City, Jazz or HRV?. Ha ha! the best defensive is an offence!. Which UMW could had applied then in 2013. Banzai!.

Dont be so happy now, a lot of users already start to lodge complain of it’s dodgy 6-speed manual gearbox and a lot of motor expert are calling it not to buy until they resolve the issue. Just google it or youtube search for it Honda Type-R manual gearbox issue.
