Subaru Malaysia announces switch to Motul lubricants

Motor Image has announced a new partnership with Motul to develop and supply lubricant products to Subaru outlets in eight countries, including Malaysia. These oils will be used in all its aftersales and service centres from January 2019 onwards.

“Subaru has been closely linked with Motul since its motorsports racing days, and Motul is closely associated with the STI brand. At Motor Image, we have had an over 10-year relationship,” said Glenn Tan, deputy chairman and managing director at Tan Chong International.

Subaru Malaysia announces switch to Motul lubricants

“Motul specially formulates lubricants for Subaru cars, taking into account the weather and other conditions when we took part in the Asia Pacific Rally Championships. We are happy to partner with Motul again, and to re-establish a long-term relationship to provide the best quality products to our Subaru customers,” he added.

The first of the Motul lubricant product line-up for Subaru vehicles are fully synthetic oils available in the following viscosity grades – 0W20 and 5W30.

Don’t dream for getting 300V or 8100. Most likely 100Plus or HTECH series.

In Malaysia, you buy a Subaru if you can’t afford a Honda. Controversial but true.
