Launched nearly 6 months ago yet only 10% got on board. Very flimsy correlation that these passes boosted bus and rail usage if the current riderships already see no benefits in them. The likely reason for more users are due to new areas around newer station being inhibited by people thus increase in ridership. The true take up of these passes are if the current riderships converting to them and based on the data above, they are blowing cold.

    A rethink is needed.

If they manage to reach 100% take up, u will held kenduri syukur on their behalf or u will just ‘blow cold’?

If an initiative is not working, it IS NOT WORKING. If the regulars aren’t biting, I agree with Browning, this needs a rethink to make it worth for us users. Make it cheaper for example. I personally don’t see the benefits as my daily travels don’t reach up to RM 100 and I guess a huge majority of public transport users agree with me.

I would hold a kenduri syukur for entire 1 week if the take up exceeds 60%. The true worth is when the majority benefits, and I would gladly do it and invite Loke to come and officiate even. Right now, he owes me a kenduri, no?

Hello, read carefully, it says “helped boost usage of bus and rail services by 14%” not “to 14%”.

Same to you. Can you read: “More than 120,000 users have registered for the My50 and My100 unlimited travel passes so far, with 1.2 million users being handled daily” That’s roughly 10% right there buddy.

If you use RapidKL, you will use at least RM5 return a day, which works out to around RM110 monthly every work day. So if no one is buying, you and them are poor at math.
