We need 1,000 horsepower in the Jeep Gladiator, said no one ever. Except self-proclaimed chief horsepower evangelist John Hennessey, because he’s probably one of few in this world who can make bricks go outrageously quick.
Meet the Hennessey Maximus 1000, otherwise known as the ultimate Jeep Gladiator. Powering this beast is a 6.2 litre supercharged V8 Hellcat petrol engine, complete with the HPE1000 engine upgrade to make a whopping 1,000 hp and 1,265 Nm of torque. Other hardware upgrades include a brand new ECU, upgraded wiring harnesses, bigger radiator and fuel system.
Power is channeled to all four wheels via a beefed-up eight-speed automatic (likely a moderately upgraded version of the stock transmission). Hennessey will also throw in a new stainless steel exhaust system, huge 20-inch Hennessey wheels with BF Goodrich off-road tyres, upgraded suspension with six-inch lift system, Maximus front and rear bumpers, as well as LED lighting.
Production of the Maximus 1000 is limited to 24 units, and the cost to build one is US$200,000 (RM840k; includes the base Gladiator model). As a bonus, Hennessey Performance will include a customised leather interior upgrade with Maximus embroidered seats, as well as a three-year or 36,000 mile warranty. Each build process will be approximately four months, and the company plans to build two units per month.
Company founder John Hennessey said: “Our clients want exclusive, extreme vehicles that deliver a fun and exciting driving experience both on and off-road. Win the crowd and you’ll win your freedom was the advice that the elder gladiator gave to Russell Crow in the Gladiator movie. We could not agree more!”

Mustang engine in a Jeep?
so gay
Why does the Americans are obsessed tuning their cars to 1000hp when the only tuning they needed are handling.
“There’s no replacement for displacement”
“Muscle is everything”
“The quarter mile or nothing”
Don’t let Stradman see this.
