2021 Yamaha Aerox 155 and MX King 150 with World GP 60th Anniversary graphics for Indonesian market

For the Indonesia market, the 2021 Yamaha Aerox 155 and MX King 150 are now available in Yamaha’s special World GP 60th Anniversary colour scheme, covered in white with red “speed blocks”. This paint scheme was initially offered with Yamaha’s R-series sportsbikes in Europe, and for Malaysia’s ASEAN neighbour, this come in the form of the Aerox 155, priced at 29.9 million rupiah (RM8,777) and the MX King 150, tagged at 25 million rupiah (RM7,339).

The anniversary paint scheme is completed with red mudguards, gold painted wheels and yellow stripes on the front of the bikes. Aside from that, the Aerox 155 and MX King 155 are mechanically unchanged from the current catalogue models.

The Aerox 155, better known to Malaysian riders are the Yamaha NVX 155, is powered by a single-cylinder, 150 cc, liquid-cooled mill producing 15 hp. The Aerox 155 GP 60th Anniversary comes with ABS as well as Yamaha Y-Connect for smartphone connectivity and keyless start with Smart Key.

As for the MX King 150, the equivalent of the Malaysian market Yamaha Y15ZR V2, gets 15.4 hp from its variable valve actuated, liquid-cooled single cylinder engine. Power gets to the ground via a five-speed gear box and chain final drive.

First used on Yamaha racing motorcycles in 1961, the red and white racing livery were used on Yamaha’s competition machines till the 80s. The most recent showing of the historic Yamaha racing livery was on the Yamaha YZR-M1 race bike ridden by Cal Crutchlowin the 2021 MotoGP at the Qatar round in March.
