Rapid KL expands express bus service from Pasar Seni, now available during morning rush hours

Last week, Rapid KL introduced a new express bus service from the LRT/MRT Pasar Seni and LRT KLCC stations out of the city centre, a move to help ease overcrowding at LRT stations during peak hours.

The free bus takes commuters direct to the LRT Universiti station at the Kg Kerinchi/Bangsar South area as well as the LRT Wangsa Maju station. Serving the evening rush hour, the express bus operation time is from 4.30 to 7.30 pm on weekdays.

Now, the public transport operator has expanded the FOC express bus service to the morning rush hours as well. From today (June 22), bus SH02 will take the same evening route from LRT/MRT Pasar Seni to LRT Universiti. Another bus, SH03, will take passengers from Pasar Seni to the LRT KLCC station.

The morning bus will also be at Pintu B of the MRT Pasar Seni station and the frequency is 15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. The morning operation hours are from 7.30 to 9.30 am.

Last week, the prime minister announced one month of free rides on the Rapid KL public transport network that includes the MRT, LRT, KL Monorail, Sunway BRT and buses. KTM Komuter trains in the Klang Valley will also be FOC for 30 days starting June 16.
