First shown publicly in August 2022, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is now in Malaysia, priced from RM22,000. There are two model variants on offer, the Metro Rebel at RM22,200 and the Metro Dapper at RM22,000, with pricing excluding insurance.
The only difference between the two Hunter 350 models is the colour scheme, with a total of five choices available. The Metro Rebel comes in two-tone paint, while the Metro Dapper is clad in its own unique colours.
From the world launch of the Hunter 350, it can be seen only the top two model variants will be available for sale in Malaysia. This means Malaysian riders get the 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 110/70 and 140/70 tubeless tyres and front and rear hydraulic disc brakes equipped with two-channel ABS.
Designed as an approachable “do anything” motorcycle, the Hunter 350 a combined analogue and digital instrument cluster and USB charging port. Suspension is done with telescopic forks in front and twin shock absorbers at the back adjustable for spring preload with seat height set at 800 mm and 13-litres of fuel in the tank.
Power for the Hunter 350 comes from Royal Enfield’s 349 cc, single-cylinder J-series engine, the same unit used in the Meteor 350 and Classic 350 (priced at RM24,500 and RM23,500 in Malaysia, respectively). The Hunter 350 gets 20.2 hp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm torque at 4,000 rpm from the mill, mated to a five-speed gearbox and chain final drive and Royal Enfield claims a top speed of 114 kmh.

The height is very beginner friendly and from my test ride of the Meteor 350, the engine is very flexible and pretty suitable for city riding. If going to our beautiful B roads, this bike sure can take it too as it has a more focused riding position than the more relaxed Meteor. Would make a pretty fun 2nd or 3rd bike for those seasoned vets as well.
Nice, but 350cc doesn’t match our license regulations. The same bikes with 250cc would be more successful here.
top speed is 114 km/h but odometer shows up to 160km/h.
And? Do you think an i.e. Axia or Vios will run 200km/h?
B2 licensee wont upgrade to B just to ride 350cc. Royal Enfield doesnt have that japanese umph to attract rider
Enfield ni enjin diesel ke. Wonder whether it runs on minyak kelapa sawit. Maaf tanya ye
Production of the Diesel Enfield stopped many years ago already due to emission regulations. And yes, the Enfield Diesel was able to run on palm oil.
