The paultan.org Premium Auto Car Expo (PACE) returns this year and is set to take place at the Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC) from November 4-5. With a retail price of RM378,888 on-the-road without insurance, the CKD model is RM51,000 less than the CBU version that arrived earlier in the year.
The lower price sees no compromise to the feature set you’ll be getting, as the CKD version largely mirrors the CBU car, but with some additions such as a panoramic sliding sunroof and Hands-Free Access for the powered tailgate.
The rest of the kit list includes the advanced Digital Light headlamps with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, 20-inch AMG multi-spoke light alloy wheels, polished aluminium roof rails, aluminium-look running boards with rubber studs, the AMG Line styling package, the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) system with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 11.9-inch central touchscreen and 15-speaker Burmester 3D surround sound system.
Under the bonnet, the GLC is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that serves up 258 PS (255 hp or 190 kW) at 5,800 rpm and 400 Nm of torque from 2,000 to 3,200 rpm. The mill is paired with a 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission, 4Matic all-wheel drive system as well as a 48-volt mild hybrid system, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of 6.2 seconds and top speed of 240 km/h.
