Peugeot vehicle owners in Malaysia who are facing extended periods of doing without their vehicles due to required parts or repairs may now be offered a courtesy vehicle from Peugeot Malaysia, the company has announced. A customer’s eligibility for this is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
The offer of courtesy cars to Peugeot customers apply to cases where the vehicle is taken off the road for safety concerns, drivability issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, according to Peugeot Malaysia. Of course, terms and conditions apply.
Customers will be offered a courtest car if their vehicle is facing extended downtime due to the unavailability of required parts, In the event that a courtesy vehicle from Peugeot Malaysia itself is not available, the company will provide a rental vehicle in its place, at no cost to the customer, according to the company.
In terms of the brand’s aftersales progress in the country, Peugeot Malaysia had reduced its tally of open cases by 95%, from 2,500 cases to 117 cases, Stellantis Malaysia managing director Jamie Morais said in July.
Stellantis Malaysia assumed stewardship of the Peugeot brand in Malaysia from March this year, and has offered a seven-year warranty on new Peugeot vehicles sold through Stellantis Malaysia, or customers may elect to have a shorter five-year warranty coverage with a rebate on their vehicle’s purchase price.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Sounds good on paper but doubtful courtesy vehicle will be available at all dealers. Also likely not enough courtesy vehicles to go around when too many cars are ‘detained’ for repairs, which we all know will happen often due to long waiting time for Peugeot parts.
While the Chance of being offered a courtesy car is uncertain (since is case by case), what is certain is that you will have to be patient to wait for parts if you buy Peugeot.
If Stellantis can do this, what takes Proton and the kenching manis Perodua 30 to 40 years to even give a shot at this?
Come on,so called rebadged national cars..dont let a foreign brand with so little market share ,initiate this.Just shame on you.
French cars are as crumbly as its pastries
If this is true, then it is for the best of the customers.
Because Merc, BMW, Volvo, VW have been doing this for a while now. For Merc and BMW the courtesy will be quite a while to have.
Volvo and VW, it is superfast and it is a plenty of courtesy car they can offer you.
service centre frequent visitor.good luck
Very good marketing initiatives after reading review from internet. Well done
Ok. So not to buy Peugeot as I heard from many. Thanks for the proof!
2500 case reduction to only 117 is done by Bermaz when they took over from naza. after all shit cleaned up by bermaz, stellantis come and take back the distributorshio.
now this joker jamie morais want to take credit for it. good luck to peugeot owners. stellantis is known for they bad track record in aftersales. good design, but peugeot malaysia inability to provide aftersales service will deter people from buying.
unless they improve on aftersales (and product quality), they can’t last long here.
ikr!!
What courtesy cars? If I buy 408, do I get back the same Peugeot 408, same value rental car, or an Axia?
