Deepal, a brand owned by Changan Automobile, announced on December 30, 2024 that it had produced its 400,000th vehicle, with the model marking the milestone being a S05. This comes 29 months after the brand’s inception, and its president Dang Chenghao revealed that over 240,000 units have been sold in 2024.
According to CarNewsChina, Deepal took 14 months to produce its first 100,000 units. At present, the company sells five models in China, namely the S05, L07, S07, G318 and SL03.
For 2025, the company is aiming to deliver 500,000 vehicles, of which 400,000 are for the domestic market while 100,000 are for overseas markets. The upcoming S09 SUV is expected to help the company achieve this target, along with entries into more overseas markets such as Malaysia and Singapore.
Deepal claims its models will be available in 81 countries by the end of 2025, with Thailand being its first overseas market when it launched the S07 and L07 earlier in January – Changan also plans to open its first electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Southeast Asia there in Q1 2025.

Production doesn’t reflect sales. See how many new cars being abandon in China warehouses. This is just to show how big their production scale is, but as long as it doesn’t translate to sales, then there will be a big issue when it comes to aftersales.
