If you are contemplating buying an electric motorcycle or scooter (e-bike) in Malaysia for 2025, the MariiCAS purchase rebate of RM2,400 is back. However this is only applicable to e-bikes that are Completely Knocked Down (CKD) in Malaysia.
A list of CKD e-bikes eligible for the rebate is published on the MariiCAS website. Among those listed are models sold or leased by Sunlight Power, Ni Hsin EV Tech, Eclimo, Tree Movement and Superlux.
Applications for the rebate can be forwarded to MariiCAS on its website. The e-bike rebate was announced by Finance minister and prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in his Budget 2025 speech, with RM10 million allocated to encourage the ownership of e-bikes.
