The Elite Highway is now fully open to traffic following the conclusion of the gas pipe leak fire near Putra Heights yesterday.
Yesterday PLUS announced a closure of the Elite Highway stretch between Seafield and Bandar Saujana Putra to all vehicles as a precaution, as the fire was close to the highway. Vehicles had to exit at the those two toll plazas and entry to the highway at USJ and Putra Heights toll plazas were also blocked.
The blast and massive fire, which started yesterday morning, caused serious damage to nearly 200 homes, with some 305 residents now displaced. Many were injured but fortunately, there are no fatalities.
