Container lorry accident at PLUS Menora to Kuala Kangsar, northbound – all lanes blocked, take old road

PLUS users, take note. There has been an accident involving a container lorry at KM 256 northbound between the Menora Tunnel and Kuala Kangsar on the North South Highway. The accident happened earlier this morning and the toppled truck is blocking all lanes.

That’s right, all northbound lanes are currently not passable to traffic and traffic is at a standstill. The latest update posted by PLUS was at 8.18 am and the concessionaire urged motorists to use alternative routes. That would be the Federal Route 1 heading north if you’re from Ipoh.

Works to remove the wreckage are currently ongoing. Follow the signs and drive safe.

Tiap tiap hari, geng lorry buat hal lagi. Puspakom dan JPJ goyang telur saja.

so can we empower Loke now to wage war against puspakom, war against lorry companies, and against lorry drivers who jump out from moving lorry.

JPJ DG must answer since this is enforcement issue. Loke should answer if it’s policy issue.

it is all in the hands of the truck driver not JPJ DG ya! even APAD cannot prevent this other than investigate with JPJ and decide to do something about the companies permit and licence to operate.
so change DG or minister wont solve the problem. it is driver attitude issue. he he

I watch the video from dashcam. the green lorry drive 2 fast 2 furious (dia ingat dia Dom?). If something happen, they always blame on the brake. Luckily, did not involve any other vehicle, tapi memang menyusahkan a lot of people. Bukan senang nk alih dr situ.

is it due to content of the container is not properly restraint ? if not properly restraint, the load may move about and shift the center of gravity. as such it will affect the balance. no doubt the truck seems to be driving downhill faster than dashcam driver. why ??? this is driver attitude issue or the delivery schedule too tight ?
investigation should into both possible cause.
