LRT Kelana Jaya Line service now back to normal

Klang Valley commuters, take note. You might have experienced or heard about the LRT Kelana Jaya Line problem this morning, and you’re probably dreading the journey home later. Good news, the service went back to normal at 1.31 pm this afternoon, Rapid KL announced.

The train that had technical issues and got stuck at the KJ station has been removed from the line and Rapid KL will perform investigations to unearth the cause of the problem tonight, after LRT services conclude. As such, the shuttle train and free bus services that were deployed to bridge the gap have ended.

To recap, a train was unable to move at the KJ station this morning due to a component issue and because of that, trains from both directions of the line had to turn back at Taman Jaya (from Gombak) and Ara Damansara (from Putra Heights). Shuttle trains and free bus services between Ara Damansara and Taman Jaya were provided.

Have a smooth ride home this evening!
