The G80 BMW M3 is a compact executive sedan for drivers who want a five-seat petrol performance car with 503 hp and conventional automatic transmission. This generation launched in 2020, and the Malaysian range starts with the M3 Competition M xDrive Pro Pack at RM837,800. It is a far pricier proposition than the mainstream sports sedans in its class.

The BMW M3 sedan carries into 2026 unchanged. Malaysia continues with one G80 variant, the M3 Competition M xDrive Pro Pack, using a 2,993 cc petrol engine rated at 503 hp and a conventional automatic transmission. The 2026 M3 Touring Competition M xDrive joins the local M3 family as a separate estate model, priced RM60,000 above the sedan. An electric BMW M3 has been previewed, but it is not the current G80 sedan.

The M3 is the high-cost, high-output end of the compact executive sedan field. Its 503 hp gives it a clear power-focused brief, but RM837,800 places it well above the RM443,888 Mercedes-AMG C-Class, RM440,078 Alfa Romeo Giulia and RM430,800 BMW i4 M50. That price buys a specific M-car sedan experience, not an inexpensive route into the segment.
