Overview
The Toyota Vios is a five-seat B-segment sedan, in its fourth generation since 2023. It suits buyers who want a conventional front-wheel-drive sedan, with a choice of petrol CVT or hybrid eCVT power. Prices start at RM90,600 for the 1.5E.
Vios in 2026 — what's new
For 2026, the Vios range gains the Hybrid and Hybrid GR Sport, launched in January. Both use a 1,496 cc hybrid petrol/REV powertrain with 169 hp, front-wheel drive and an eCVT. The established 1.5E and 1.5G remain petrol choices, each with a 1,496 cc 104 hp engine, front-wheel drive and a CVT. The range now spans four five-seat variants.

Which variant to buy
Most buyers should start with the RM90,600 1.5E. It has the same 1,496 cc, 104 hp petrol CVT drivetrain as the RM96,600 1.5G, so the RM6,000 step up is for trim rather than mechanicals; check the equipment list before paying it. The Hybrid costs RM103,900 and the Hybrid GR Sport RM109,900. Pay more for either hybrid only if the 169 hp hybrid powertrain and eCVT are priorities; the GR Sport costs RM6,000 more than the regular Hybrid.
