The Honda HR-V has been teased on the official website of Honda Thailand, with the countdown pointing to an official unveiling on November 18. With our neighbours up north getting the HR-V in less than two weeks’ time, we can look forward to it arriving here sometime early next year.
The Honda HR-V is a B-segment SUV positioned against the likes of the Ford EcoSport and Peugeot 2008, with underpinnings based on the City and Jazz. It made its debut as the Vezel at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.
In Indonesia, where it made its ASEAN debut in September, the HR-V comes with a 1.5 litre SOHC engine with 118 hp/145 Nm and a 1.8 litre offering 137 hp/169 Nm. Both are mated to a CVT gearbox, although the 1.5 can be had with a five-speed manual as well.
The Indonesian-spec HR-V rides on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 215/55 tyres, and is offered in four specs – 1.5 A, 1.5 S, 1.5 E and 1.8 Prestige. An electric parking brake, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, dual airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist and the much-applauded Ultra Seats from the Jazz hatch, are available across the board.
After Indonesia and Thailand, Malaysia should be the HR-V’s next stop.

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
If they can keep it below 100K it will sell
Maybe the botak spec one will be under RM100k and holy sh*t will our HRV come with those headlights??
not just botak, they actually swap the L15B earths dream engine in Vezel with old L15A7 engine. wonder why they never mention the engine model?? honda management sucks big time!! simply taking asean countries for granted. :(

Welcome Msia 2nd-Hand Automotive Hub ASEAN
waiting so badly for it to come
please come soon. I am considering having a kind of suv riding but not to the size of ASX with 2.0 engine. just within B to ‘extra B’ with 1.8 engine on the highest spec. Fuel consumption that could match City would be a great combo.
If it’s 1.8l, it can never beat City 1.5l FC lor
Surely cnt get LED headlamps under 100k price point
Why..LED so expensive ka?
My brother in law working at Honda Factory confirm that H-RV is going to production this month.
They are expecting to launch this HRV in January i think or may be earlier.
ur brother in law work as what?
City door panel installer?
My brother in-law work there as Pak Guard…he got a lot of info but don’t tell anybody about this news…
Sorry I don’t know Thai but, 10 days + 6 Jan 2014 should be 16 Jan 2014 right?
HM please offer 1.8 n I will upgrade my City 2010 to his mini SuV
same here bro..same here, btw gonna change the rims as well..=)
Malaysia usually follows what the rest of ASEAN gets (except Singapore). So, if Indonesia gets a 1.8, we might be getting it too. Plus, the 1.8 is the same as the Civic’s, based on my guess. So not much extra retooling required for Honda Malaysia.
Haha.. Honda is damn good in terms of design and specs offered.
However, when it comes to Honda Malaysia, i do not know why does the quality drop sooo sooo much that even Proton or Perodua have less problem than Honda Malaysia’s produced car.
Just can’t believe Malaysia Honda Cars are full of faults.
To be fair as i am a very fair person, Honda idea is very good but the implementation sucks till a very very low level.
Really hope Honda Malaysia improve on their quality.
PLEASE WE MALAYSIANS REALLY HOPE THAT HAPPENS..
Which model of Honda has dropping quality?
Vezel can give rear brake disc but why honda city they dont want to give it ….weirdd
HM, this baby better comes with 6 air bags , full leather seats, rear ventilators !! The spec cannot be lower than the City & Jazz…
Saw Honda Vezel on the road of Singapore
Will be be getting both 1.5 and 1.8??
I like the China-only X-RV styling. Looks more awesome.
Vezel is much heavier than City and may featured a 1.8/2.0 engine, so equip with 4 disc brake. Paultan already prove City with rear drum brake fully stop as efficiently as Vios with rear disc brake maa.
Hope Honda Malaysia can bring in the manual version but with VSC
If interested to see can come to Bangkok now I saw on the showroom this afternoon only 1.8 other versions got specsheets with price as well can call any Honda Automobile showroom phone from website to inquire best if understand Thai can see touch sit inside but no test drive yet dear all it’s beutiful and lots of feature plus safety must see it for yourself worth the flight To Bkk also on Saturday and Sunday opens
