Honda Malaysia introduces X Edition City and Jazz variants – limited to 450 and 300 units respectively

honda x edition city and jazz

Honda Malaysia has introduced two limited edition variants of the City sedan and Jazz hatchback. The X Edition models, as they are known as, have been badged to showcase their ‘eXclusivity’, and will be limited to 450 and 300 units respectively.

Common to both vehicles are specially-dressed half-leather seats with X emblem badging, a unique trunk tray (also adorned with X marking) and daytime running lights. Both the City X and Jazz X look to be based on their respective mid-spec grade E versions.

No mechanical changes, both cars continuing on with a 1.5 litre SOHC i-VTEC engine offering 120 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm at 4,600 rpm, the engine paired a CVT gearbox.

The City X is priced at RM86,100, while the Jazz X goes for RM82,500 (both on-the-road, with insurance). The 450 units of the City X will be available in Modern Steel Metallic and Dark Ruby Red Pearl, while the 300 units of the Jazz X will be available in Modern Steel Metallic and Carnival Red exterior shades.

Honda Malaysia says the waiting period for the X Edition models, which of course come with a five-year, unlimited mileage warranty, extended service interval to every 10,000 km and six free labour services alternating with paid service till 100,000 km, is one month.

Hello Honda Malaysia aka DRB crony, pls give Malaysians cheaper cars lah. Why create all these bogus editions and increase prices like that?

Please ask your tuan Najib to honour his promise to reduce car prices by 30%. By right, after 30% less, the City should be RM50k only. Please ask your boss najib permission to sell your existing cars cheaper.

  • Useless model releases by Honda Malaysia again for Jazz and City.
Please sell Official Variants like Mugen Jazz RS like in New Zealand with full equipped Mugen Parts or like The Jazz RS model variant in Indonesia.

Like or Dislike: Thumb up 11 Thumb down 0
    • Personally I’d recommend saving up and spending money on proper modifications on the Jazz with Pure JDM MUGEN performance and bodykit parts than this X shitty Honda Malaysia variant. This X model seriously looks Hideous. Depressing to look at and drive.
Or to transform the Jazz into a track weapon, there’s always J’s Racing performance parts from Osaka, Japan.

Stupid AF Honda Malaysia, still using old SOHC engine from 2009 until now!
This X variant is a sad and crappy variant.
Malaysian diehard Jazz Purist fans would rather spend more money on Pure Honda Tuner Parts like Mugen Power or Js Racing.
This is pathetic offering from Honda Malaysia thus far.
Cheating Malaysians who drive Hondas with outdated parts like the Old Engines from previous Generation Models for example.

every time…every.single.time some manufacturer does this “dress up” crap and then you get to the part which says “no mechanical changes” and I’m like “there goes another ricer/ahbeng-ed variant”.

What’s worse is the tacky aftermarket parts somehow never look cohesive with the original design.
