Following on from Friday, Naza Kia Malaysia is the next to release new prices of Kia vehicles without the six-percent goods and services tax (GST). Like a few others, the company has decided to absorb the cost of GST – which is only set to be zero-rated from June 1 – and provide buyers with an immediate rebate for those who purchased their vehicles from May 18.
UPDATE: Naza has released an updated price list with even lower prices, now valid until May 31 instead of June 30. Browse the full list below.
Although the price list below is only applicable until May 31, Naza says that buyers will continue to receive these rebates until the sales and service tax (SST) is formally reintroduced. On Friday, head of the government’s Council of Eminent Persons Tun Daim Zainuddin said that the tax will only be implemented in two to three months’ time, so there should still be quite some time for you to benefit from the savings.
Those savings will be anywhere from RM2,808.57 for the Picanto up to RM10,638.05 for the Grand Carnival 2.2 CRDi SX. Also breaching the RM10,000 mark are savings for the Sorento 2.2 CRDi HS and the Grand Carnival 2.2 CRDi EX.
Naza also took the opportunity to trim some models off the list. The Cerato range has been slimmed down to just one model, the 1.6 SX – the base 1.6 KX and range-topping 2.0 SX have been discontinued, possibly in anticipation of an all-new model. The Rio Sedan and Sorento 2.2 CRDi LS have also quietly exited, as has the RM3,498 Novus S package for the Picanto (the full Novus X pack still remains, now at RM5,000).

Pakatan Government is so caring. Everybody now can see car prices dropping so much. Now we Malaysians can afford to buy cars.
We are so happy we kicked out a highly corrupted Government and pilih a kind and good Government that cares for the people
Take it easy. The car price itself did not drop… its just minus 6% GST… wait until new rate for SST comes in then you’ll know wether car manufactureres reduce their car price.
Malaysians are happy that our new Government uses their money wisely to give rakyat cheaper cars. They don’t spend and waste their money on Birkin handbags but channel it to the rakyat through cheaper cars.
Thank you Pakatan Harapan

Maybe it’s a good time to bring in the Stinger.
Dear Paultan Team, regarding GST zero-rated, any news from others such as Mazda, Hyundai, etc?
Unlucky for me RIO is out of stock.
Why the info given by Kia Motors Salesman is different from the list here?
According to the memo shown to me, YP KX aka Grand Carnival KX is RM151,888 instead of RM150,891.46.
Any idea?
