    Honda Civic 2.0 - 278 laps
    Lotus Exige 300RR - 279 laps

citycar VS sportcar, yet difference only 1 lap….shocking, considering both are professional teams with professional strategies/driving

Either the Exige is slacking or the Civic is roaring

wai, FYI, the Civic isn’t a ’stock’ car per se. It’s a factory works car, tune and modded by Honda Japan.

Those who think it’s a stock car are being really naive.

how much can you do up a honda civic? pound for pound, the exige has much higher potential

ohh, the exige is probably modified also, like u said, nobody runs a stock car in the MME

Good effort by HMRT in any case. 2nd placing overall, is really nothing to be ashamed about. Well done!

It’s good to see Lotus up there though :)

How much funding needed to run a team like in MME? What about requirements and qualification needed?

1 lap of sepang is about 5.5km

to run a team for mme.. depends on what type of car you enter. but to enter normal satria race car, you’re still looking at around RM20,000 at the least to run the entire race including entry fee, parts, tyres, crew..etc.

even if you have the money but fail to qualify, you cannot start the race.

you will need 3 licensed drivers, race crew/support, car, money helps also :)

btw, the honda “city car” can do a full lap of sepang circuit in about 2mins 26seconds. thats quicker than what the Racing evo9, subaru STI, and even quicker than the porsche GT3s.

anyway…bro, winner is win… if a sec in front also win… now in m’sia who got big pocket pretty sure can winnn..Lotus is GT car.. who did’nt know? HMRT also not a ’stock’ engine bro… last year Lambo the fastest car clock 2.06sec per lap, also cannot finish…. think about it………….
